Tell us a little about yourself.
In addition to producing tools for soil cultivation, we have developed a new almond shelling and sorting system for industries or producers.
I, along with my brother and two sisters, have been running the company for several years now.
Where did the idea for these machines come from?
The idea arose from considerations related to the exponential increase in almond cultivation in recent years. Several areas in southern Italy, especially those most suited and suitable for this production, have been identified and followed this change, focusing on the design of these new systems, developing new processing methods using new mechanical and electronic technologies, and then expanding them to include the processing of hazelnuts, pistachios, plum kernel, and argan.
What are the benefits of using this system?
All these processes are in a single system.
These systems can be networked, offering the advantage of remote management. The 500, 750, and 1000 almond sorters and the shellers are protected by eight patents to safeguard intellectual property.
We began producing shellers, machines that actually crush almond shells to sort the nuts. The shells, being biomass, can be used in boilers or other applications, while the nuts are intended for the confectionery industry.
What are the advantages for those who want to purchase this type of machine?
This type of system is much smaller than traditional systems.
For the same production capacity, we have a capacity of about 70-80 cubic meters, compared to traditional systems that require almost 1,000 cubic meters.
Even small businesses can purchase these systems without space constraints.
The production capacity can vary between 250 and 2,000 kg/h, making it ideal for both farms that process their own product and sell it finished, and for industrial traders who purchase almonds, thus completing the supply chain.
Naturally, we are also capable of producing larger systems capable of producing up to 10,000 kg/h of in-shell product.
What are your goals for the future?
We are focusing on new technologies, a characteristic that has always distinguished us in all our production sectors, to further improve production capacity and achieve excellent finished product quality.
Now for a bit of backstory: Who was the inventor and designer of the system?
We collaborated with my father on these systems, and the credit for the other machinery and tools we produce also goes to my father, a highly talented person with great design skills who, with his technical expertise, made a significant contribution to agricultural mechanization.
We, the children, have long since inherited this legacy, understood in the broadest sense: planning, administrative, and management. We must approach it with commitment and seriousness, respecting a fifty-year-old company within which we have grown and matured, offering our personal contribution.
It is certainly a responsibility and a daily challenge!
