8th Annual Ontario Hazelnut Association Symposium March 28, 2017, Brantford, Ontario
The theme of this year’s event was “The Future of Hazelnuts in Ontario” and the program explored the path the OHA is taking, in partnership with Ferrero Canada and the University of Guelph, to significantly expand the industry over the coming decade

Oregon Hazelnut Winter Meeting was held on January 18 in Corvallis Oregon Several OHA members flew to Portland Oregon on January 16 for a full day of hazelnut tours on January 17 and then attended the Oregon Hazelnut Winter Meeting on January 18 in Corvallis Oregon. Two days packed with tours and information in the hub of hazelnut growing in North American. Contact Linda at Lindagrimo@ontariohazelnuts.com for more information on the meeting. This will be reported on at the OHA Symposium in March.

Sixth Annual Ontario Hazelnut Association Symposium The Hazelnuts Are Coming!
The Ontario Hazelnut Association, in cooperation with the University of Guelph hosted "The Hazelnuts Are Coming! The Hazelnuts Are Coming!" It was a gathering of growers, companies, nurseries, academics and executives who are involved in the hazelnut value chain in Ontario.
The program included plenary and thought provoking panel sessions delivered by Canadian and international experts, with key guest speakers focusing on commercialization, communication, market development, investment, resource support and domestic and international collaboration. This was from discovery to launching into the market and was a great opportunity to interact with experts and innovators, with significant business acumen.
